Spending the day at Heather Macdonald's introducing her to mezzotint. I found that I had left my rocker at home so we did the scraping on a recycled piece of plate and played with inking some of my old plates. Heather made a start on a tiny piece of plate, drawing directly on to the plate and then starting the design but with nosketch as a reference I am impress with the first state.
I was beautifully looked after and enjoyed a wonderful day.
